New Swings at Westlea

Westlea Swings Opening

The whole school attended the grand opening of the new swings at Westlea. The School Council, supported by the Head Boy and Head Girl, led the proceedings. The Headteacher shared the safety rules, then the Head Boy and Girl cut the ribbon. The School Council were the first to test run the swings, followed by a lot of very excited children, who in true British fashion queued up.

The children have enjoyed playing on their new swings, these are some of their comments:

They are really good. I have been on them lots and they are better than the old ones.

I like the basket one because it goes high. I can share it with my friends. Maisey

They are fun and nice.

They are really nice. It is nice to have something new. 
Sophie

The new ones are better than the old ones because 4 people can use them at the same time. It is nice to be able to go on with your friends.
